When is my child ready to learn an instrument?

Instrumental concert

Once a child's fine motor skills have developed so that they are able to move each finger up and down independently, then they are physically at a point where piano lessons can be introduced.

They also need to be able to sit for 10 - 15 minutes at the piano.

Performances

Opportunities for Performance

Music is to be shared and the more opportunities the children have to perform the easier it becomes.

Each term Music Masters has a Saturday afternoon Instrumental Recital.

At the end of each year the children perform at the Conservatorium of Music.
